Motivating people to engage in daily stewardship is a bit of a tightrope walk. The tone must be friendly, concise and practical, with clear recommendations that largely refrain from judgment, and instead emphasize the unique privilege of living and working in the landscapes of the American West.
A high level of design—artfully aligning visual tone with written tone—shows residents that their communities place intrinsic value on stewardship. The outcome? Shared pride of ownership (and stakeholder collaboration) emerges in powerful, catalytic ways.
